Marvel Comics is such an iconic brand filled with millions of fans worldwide which maked walking the Red Carpet for the latest Marvel movie, Thor: The Dark World all the more special and exhilarating.
As we approached, the El Capitan Theatre, the scene of so many red carpet premieres including The Delivery Man premiere, I was in awe of the fans out in full force with their comic books and posters waiting for the stars of the movies. As you enter the walkway to the Red Carpet, I was immediately struck with the sight of Thor himself, the handsome Liam Hemsworth signing autographs for the fans. Totally cool right.
Being able to literally walk on the red carpet and see the crush of photographers and television crews interviewing the stars was just such a behind the scenes experience. When you watch red carpet interviews on television, you sometimes get a glimpse of the star’s publicist but walking behind them you really get to see the crush of people up close. It’s truly incredible to watch the stars staring into all those bright, bright lights and work the line of photographers.
But back to me, I just took my time as best I could walking the red carpet, enjoying having my picture taken in front of Thor: The Dark World movie poster. I was so proud to being to do my celebrity stance (yes, it does make you look thinner.)
Here I am with Jaimie Alexander before the Thor: The Dark World Premiere, notice that she is covering up her dress which of course was revealed at the premiere (wow.) Let’s say that she was kidding about keeping up after my photo was taken. Now we know why. Stay tuned for my interview with Jaimie.
And then it was over, ah not so fast. You forget that so many stars actually attend these premieres so just hanging out in the El Capitan theatre lobby, I saw Nathan Fillian (Castle) and Topher Grace.
As if not walking the red carpet and seeing the movie was not enough, as we were leaving I got a photo with Ray Stevenson (Volstagg) and Tom Hiddleston (Fan Favorite Loki) came out and I got to thank him again for the interview and he shook my hand (yes, I can be such a a 13 year old teenager sometimes.)
The evening really was truly an totally awesome experience, from start to finish.
Stay tuned in the new few days for my interviews with the cast including Tom Hiddleston (Loki); Jaimie Alexander (Sif) and Zachary Levi (Fandral.)
