I will be the first to admit that I love watching the entertainment shows during the red carpet segments which is why I slowly walked the Red Carpet at the Delivery Man movie premiere at the El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles, this past weekend. It’s such an exhilarating experience and one of those out of body experiences.
There is so much going on from the stars being photographed by the paparazzi, their handlers milling about, and me just walking without tripping and luxuriating in the walk. And of course, I had to have my photo opp on the Red Carpet and I could not resist of having double photo op with the blog husband, Mitch from gaynycdad.com.
After you finish walking the Red Carpet, we headed into the El Capitan theatre, a beautiful Spanish colonial styled theatre that has been around since 1926 and is the scene of so many Los Angeles premieres. I love the El Capitan, as you wait for the movie to begin, there is a pianist playing an organ, which is cool.
After the premiere of Delivery Man (stay tuned for my review), we headed across the street to The Hard Rock Cafe for the after party. Yes, ladies and gents, we go to head to after party. As if walking the Red Carpet wasn’t enough, we were able to mingle with industry insiders, various stars who were there to see the movie and of course the stars from the movie.
I was able to chat with one of my favorite funny and beautiful actresses Anna Farris (who is married to one of the stars of the film, Chris Pratt.) She was no nice. I had to thank her for tweeting that she and Chris were late for the interview we were having with Chris. She couldn’t have been nicer to chat with me and take a photo.
I also met “kids” from the movie. Another of my favorite actresses is Robin Tunney from The Mentalist but I could not get myself close enough to chat with her. And the star of the movie, Vince Vaughn was there which I wasn’t able to get a photo with but that’s okay I have the pleasure of interviewing him and knew was going to be interviewing him the next day.
Such a fantastic experience from start to finish.
DELIVERY MAN releases in theaters on November 22nd! And stay social with Delivery Man on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.
And stay tuned for my interviews with the stars of the movie, Vince Vaughn, Chris Pratt and Cobie Smulders.
Disclosure: NYC Single Mom is being provided a trip to the Los Angeles for the Thor:The Dark World, Delivery Man and Disney Planes and Marvel Hulk/Iron Man press events. Opinions are 100% my own.
