One of my favorite activities in Paris is to window shop on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. The street is noted for the high end stores and while you may not want to actually shop in any of the stores, it is worth wandering the street just to see what’s the latest trends are coming out of the Paris fashion houses. This was not a shopping trip but I thought my daughter should experience the street first hand and we were not disappointed.
The Lanvin Paris windows could not have stood out more, not only for the 2013 Winter looks but also for the striking mannequins and their outsized heads.
I definitely recommended wandering Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré and it’s not out of the way since it’s close to the Champs-Élysées and Place de la Concorde. And don’t be afraid to actually go in a look around? I find that the French sales people are nicer than sales people on Madison but the key is to say acknowledge them as they walk in by saying “Bonjour”, and don’t ignore them if they approach you like you would in the U.S. You may actually want to buy something.
Are you fan of window shopping at high end stores?

They are quite scary. The mannequin with the necklace that says HELP makes me wonder what’s going on behind the scenes.

Those are the weirdest looking mannequins that I have ever seen. I agree with the others that those heads are creepy. Look like they should be in some scary Halloween movie.
