One of my many, many 2012 goals includes traveling more, both with and without my daughter.
Here are my top 5 travel destinations for 2012, one of which was in the New York Times article, 45 Places to Go in 2012 which is worth checking out if you are looking for travel ideas.
1. Paris (Arc de Triomphe photo by Flickr photographer go2bob). I have been to Paris several times in my lifetime starting with my first trip in college and the last being 2001, where I stayed at what is one of the premier hotels in the world, the Hotel de Crillon,
2. Miami (by Flickr photographer globetrotter 2000). I love Miami and South Beach for it’s vibrancy, diversity and the sun, of course.
3. Baltimore (Inner Harbor by Flckr photographer Ed’s View). Baltimore is one of America’s unsung cities. I picked it because it’s a quick train ride from New York City and it’s time my daughter and I see more of the country.
4. Disney World (photo: nycsinglemom.com). What is there to say?

5. Florence, Italy – I love Italy, I learned to speak Italian in Florence so it holds a special place in my heart.
Where are you traveling to in 2012?
Teresa Young says
We anticipate being travel-free in 2012, except for any day trips that might come up – because we are saving for 2 trips next year:
1- taking our grandson to Sanibel Island FL for his 10th birthday – he wants to see the bird sanctuary. We may make a side trip to Clearwater to see Winter the dolphin from Dolphin Tale
2- a cruise for our 25th wedding anniversary – thinking of Bermuda, leaving out of NYC
I can’t wait to hear updates on your trips.
