Macy’s Herald Square is an iconic department store known for of course for being a shopping mecca for New Yorkers and tourists alike but famous for it’s place in popular culture from the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade and the movie Miracle on 34th Street.
As you can imagine, I have shopped at Macy’s and walked by the store on a gazillion occasions seeing the red Macy’s sign but until last week, I never noticed that sign is actually a Macy’s “shopping bag” sign.
Has this ever happened to you when you see something completely new at a place you go to often?

Cool pic! Yes, I have done the same thing. Passed a place a thousand times to only realize after 1001 times I see something new for the first time. I think I always saw it, but for some reason my brain just blanks that out of my memory. I bet that’s what happened to you.

Love that iconic sign! I’ve learned that I am not always the most observant person, and see something new each time I visit a place.

Wow! That is one HUGE shopping bad. I wonder if that was there when I was in NYC? Maybe I should look up more.
