The End of the School Year is an occasion that I tried to celebrate as it signals the end of another chapter in my daughter’s life but also marks a new beginning coming up with ideas for various End of the School Year Celebrations.
For me, the end of the school year and upcoming summer months, means definitely more mommy and daughter time but also means no homework, no more morning routine and no more arguments about going to bed. So as my daughter moves onto the 5th grade, I definitely think she deserves a mini-celebration.
TEN IDEAS TO CELEBRATE THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR:
- Dinner at a favorite restaurant
- Trip to the ice cream parlor
- Playdate with a best friend
- Trip to the book store to buy a book to read for the summer
- Head to the movies
- Take a trip to your child’s favorite museum
- Take your daughter for a manicure
- Take your son to the batting cages
- Go bowling
- Put together a Summer Fun Basket filled with water toys, books, journal, sketchpad, colored pencils and maybe a iTunes gift card or bookstore gift card or whatever fun finds that fit your child’s interest.
How do you celebrate the end of the school year?
