Black Friday just ended and today is Cyber Monday, some of you may be done with your toy shopping but for those of you aren’t, here are my top 10 toys for 2010,
1. Paper Jamz
I wrote about Paper Jamz when I first saw the product at the Time to Playmag.com event in the spring. It is still my favorite product for kids this year. As a New Yorker with a small apartment, the idea of buying drums for my daughter is literally one of the most insane ideas on earth but Paper Jamz allows my daughter to be able to play drums without all the hassle of a drum kit. Paper Jamz line also includes a guitar. So let your kids indulge their inner Led Zeppelin or for younger parents, their inner Kings of Leon. Right, now you should be able to get a great deal on Paper Jamz at Toys “R” Us, Target and BJ’s.
Remember the Lennon Sisters. Okay, maybe you are too young. Kathy and Janet Lennon have introduced a line of soft rag dolls that are replicas of the dolls that their mother and Nana gave them for Christmas in 1949. Yes, 1949. I love these dolls and I will bet your daughter, niece, god daughter will also love. And by the way, the dolls come in all colors so there is doll for everyone. I loved the dolls so much I have devoted an entire review to the dolls. Click here to read my review of the Best Pals Dolls.
3. Squinkies™!
Squishy, squooshy, squashy and totally adorable, Squinkies, mini doll and pet is this year’s hottest toy. Each Surprize Inside Bubble Pack includes 16 collectible “squooshy” Squinkies, including four hidden “surprise” Squinkies, to start or add to a collection. Each lovable little squishy, squooshy and squashy Squinkie is individually packed in its own toy bubble!
4. Playmobil
Playmobil offers numerous themes in a variety of age-appropriate settings that encourages your child to use their imaginations. All Playmobil men, women, children and animals are compatible with all other Playmobil vehicles, accessories and environments. And for parents of daughters, there are girl themed Playmobil sets but personally, I like to mix it up for my daughter and try not to gender specific when it comes to toys like Playmobil.
Your kids now enjoy endless hours of play and learning with the Leapster Explorer which can be customized experiences to fit the way your child learns and plays. The Leapster Explorer not only offers a touch-screen but a library of more than 40 games and activities all designed for kids to enhance skills such as reading, math, science and geography. My daughter had the previous generation’s Leapster and I must admit, I am amazed at the sophistication of the new Explorer. This is aimed at kids ages 4-9. This is another hot toy that is on sale at various retailers.
This adorable doll is making it’s first appearance in the United States after years of success in Italy. Available in boys and girls styles, each doll will provide hours of play for your child. Kids can feed the baby doll with the bottle, sing it to sleep with a glow in the dark binky and when the dolls cry the cheeks turn red. Ages 3 and up.
